National Lottery PLC receives official MGA license
The new national lottery operator National Lottery PLC was able to obtain an official license from Malta, something that many companies have not been able to do in recent times. Such an event happened for the first time since the launch of the previous lottery operator in this territory.
National Lottery PLC also won a bid for a significant contract. Under its terms, the company gets the opportunity to operate and hold lotteries until 2032. All products and services will also be provided to customers under this arrangement.

Officially, the company will be engaged in MGA, controlling all activities in the market. There are currently no new licenses available. For the first time, the national lottery appeared in 2004 but was later rebranded. Then the company was named Maltco Lotteries Limited. A little later, in 2012, a re-license was obtained for ten years.
At the same time, National Lottery PLC was able to win the last of the tenders. In this regard, the national lottery has changed its rules of work. Having received a license, the company has a unique opportunity to operate entirely legally by applicable law, being the only official operator. The permit will be valid for the next ten years, after which a re-tender will be held.

A week earlier, the official provider EveryMatrix confirmed its cooperation with National Lottery PLC. EveryMatrix will supply software for the national lottery.
